Presentation of Research Findings — Case Study: The Communes of Balotești, Snagov, and Gruiu, Ilfov County
Wednesday, September 16, 2026 | 11:00 a.m. (EEST)

The Strategic Dialogue for Global Affairs Initiative (SDGAi) Association has concluded the research study titled ”Evaluating Water Resource Management in Peri-Urban Areas: A Case Study of the Communes of Balotești, Snagov, and Gruiu, Ilfov County.” The empirical findings and strategic insights will be disseminated to the public during a specialized webinar scheduled for Wednesday, September 16, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. via the Zoom platform.
This study provides a comprehensive analysis of localized water resource governance, evaluating key dimensions such as the technical condition of existing infrastructure, the quality and reliability of water supply services, the frequency of service disruptions, and the efficacy of institutional communication between utility providers and citizens. Given that the three analyzed administrative units represent highly dynamic areas within Bucharest’s peri-urban belt, the academic and practical conclusions of this study carry significant implications for local government authorities, public service operators, and the resident communities alike.
Event Structure
The webinar will be divided into two core sessions:
• Research Dissemination: The initial segment will detail the methodology, data triangulation, and primary empirical findings for each of the three administrative-territorial units, followed by policy and actionable recommendations formulated by the SDGAi research team.
• Panel Discussion & Academic Exchange: The second segment will facilitate an open dialogue. Confirmed institutional stakeholders and invited experts will have the opportunity to be included in the official agenda to share their perspectives and discuss future research or policy trajectories.
