Ongoing Projects

Strategic Dialogues
“Strategic Dialogues” Initiative
The “Strategic Dialogues” initiative was initially launched as “Thursday Talks” in February 2025, and it aims to bring together people with common interests. “Strategic Dialogues” provides a platform for exchanging ideas, mutual learning, and networking. The initiative was designed as a space for debate with a diverse audience of young people (B.A., M.A., and Ph.D. students), and experts from various domains, who participate in an exchange of opinions on current and critical global issues.
The main goal is to turn dialogue into a security tool, as well as to inform and give young participants, namely students, in particular, the chance to dig deeper into different topics and subjects, including but not limited to international relations, diplomacy, economics, and security by delivering presentations during the meetings.
The meetings are taking place online, and are conducted in an interactive online format (Zoom), twice a month, by invitation, during which discussions are held based on the Chatham House Rules.
If you are interested in participate, please submit your request via e-mail at office@sdgainitiative.com. Just state your interest to participate.

In Brief: Romania
“In Brief: Romania” Project
The “In Brief: Romania” project is designed to provide short, balanced Romanian daily news. It stems from a very simple but very important need: people want accurate, and easy-to-follow information. In the public online space where much of the news is presented in an exaggerated, alarmist, or confusing manner, this project aims to bring the essentials of Romanian news in a short, balanced, and easy-to-understand form on a daily basis.
The aim of this project is to provide a relevant summary of the daily Romanian news, without sensationalism, alarmist headlines, or distortion of reality. The main goal is to promote more responsible and balanced news reporting, based on fairness, respect, and common sense.
The news roundup prepared by our team is posted every day at 8 A.M. on our Facebook page. If you are interested to receive daily news updates, national and global, follow us on Facebook at Strategic Dialogue for Global Affairs Initiative.

Past Projects

OSINT CHALLENGES
“OSINT CHALLENGES: Romania between Power, Information, and Decision-Making (1900–1947)” Educational Pilot Project
The educational pilot project “OSINT CHALLENGES: Romania between Power, Information, and Decision-Making (1900–1947)” proposes an interactive approach to studying Romania’s modern history by applying the OSINT (Open Source Intelligence) methodology to key moments of the first half of the 20th century. The tasks are designed to turn historical analysis into an exercise of interpretation and decision-making, where open-source information is critically evaluated, and the domestic and international context is correlated to understand the mechanisms of power.
The project aims to develop critical thinking and information analysis skills, highlighting how political and military decisions have influenced the evolution of the Romanian state, the main challenges being the complexity of the period and the rigorous selection of relevant sources.
Through this approach, the project contributes to an applied understanding of the past and the development of analytical skills useful in interpreting contemporary phenomena to those interested in the Romanian history and the role of the intelligence services.
This project is addressed to young people between 16 years old and 35 years old. Registration took place between 30 March and 13 April. The project started on 14 April; it was held online with meetings held twice a month, with the last session held on 23 June 2026.
Those interested in participating are invited to send an email to office@sdgainitiative.com, providing their name, age, and status as a high school student (over 16 years old), undergraduate, master’s student, or doctoral student, as well as to state the reason they wish to join this project. The project is being conducted in Romanian.

The Citizen’s Playbook
“The Citizen’s Playbook” Educational Pilot Project
SDGAi considered that “The Citizen’s Playbook” was a necessary and timely project. It was a project that explained to participants within the project, in an interactive way, how public decisions impact the Romanian citizens issues such as rent, scholarships, transportation, or safety and security, among others.
This project did not aim to provide theoretical information, but to help participants better understand how the Romanian political system works, and what role they can play in this process. Using an interactive, small-scale online format, the project aimed to create a real space for dialogue, learning, reflection, and internalization.
The main goal was to develop a generation of informed, aware, and civically engaged young people. In terms of opportunities, the project can grow over time and become more than a one-off program. „The Citizen’s Playbook” has potential to form a community of young people who better understand how politics works and who are more prepared to participate actively and responsibly in society and shaping a new generation of leaders and activists for Romania.
This project was launched on 11 March 2026, and ended on 20 May 2026.
